VVBS Level Placement Policy
Students enrolled in the children’s division at Veyette Virtual Ballet School (VVBS) will need to attend a placement class, or have previously completed a lesson with one of VVBS’s teachers. In either case, VVBS will determine the proper level to place the student in. All decisions made in regards to level placement will be made with the students successful training in mind. We will endeavor to make sure the level reflects an environment that will maximize the students ability to grow and make progress.
If the student, or parent/guardian has any questions regarding their level, please feel free to reach out to VVBS. If we deem it prudent, we will re-evaluate the student. All decisions on placement are the sole discretion of VVBS. We reserve the right to change a students level, be it up or down, at any time during the month. We will notify the student and Parent/guardian of our decision and the reasons for it.
VVBS ‘requirements’ and bad internet policy
Veyette Virtual Ballet School recommends all students familiarize themselves with the Zoom requirements page here;
https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362023-System-requirements-for-Windows-macOS-and-Linux
This page outlines the minimum requirements to successfully attend a meeting over Zoom. It is the responsibility of the student to meet these requirements. The student acknowledges that if they have a “bad signal” during a group class, that the class will, by necessity for all other students, continue to move forward. The teacher will try and help the student, but the priority will be on what is best for the group, not the individual student. No refunds or discounts will be given for these situations.
If the “bad signal” is on VVBS’s end. A credit will be issued to the class or a make up class will be offered.
