Lactate
Max Steady State Lactate Test
This test will help you define your max steady state power or pace and heart rate. This test is recommended for the seasoned athlete since it requires 5-10 minutes stages of sustained and sometimes sustained hard effort levels. One to two blood lactate measurements from finger sticks are required during all 4-7 stages of this test. Test is a laboratory estimation of functional threshold power (FTP).
VLaMax (Anaerobic) Testing
This is a 20 second sprint test to evaluate your glycolytic system. The VLaMax test quantifies the power from your anaerobic system and is used to help structure your training so that you can balance both anaerobic and aerobic systems to optimize endurance performance. This test is recommended for athletes and serious exercisers who have already invested several months of training that includes at least some intense bouts of exercise.
Pure Performance (CMP + MSSL)
The Cardiometabolic Exercise Profile plus a 2nd confirmation test using Lactate Analysis (e.g., Max Steady State Lactate). The CMP evaluate your aerobic and ventilatory system while the Lactate test will confirm generated training parameters and identify MSSL heart rate and power output. This test is recommended for athletes and serious exercisers who have already invested several months of targeted training. Or for those individuals who their coaches have requested MSSL testing.
Pure Performance (CMP + VLaMax)
The VLaMax sprint test is added to the Cardiometabolic Exercise Profile. The CMP evaluates your aerobic system while a VLaMax test quantifies the power from your anaerobic system. In tandem these are used to help structure your training so that you can balance both anaerobic and aerobic systems to optimize endurance performance. This test is recommended for serious endurance athletes who have already invested several heavily into targeted training and need to better systematize their workouts to push through plateaus. Outputs for this package includes the use of INSCYD software.
