5 Week Pottery Course£150.00
Develop your pottery skills from throwing to hand-building. Over the 5-week beginners course, our wonderful tutors will show you how to: Throw Hand-build/ Sculpt Turn Decorate Glaze During week 5 you will be able to glaze up to 6 medium-sized pots. Sessions will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10-12 noon, 2-4pm or 6-8pm Free Parking
1 Day Beginners Throwing Course£120.00
This 1-day course, is an opportunity to have a one-to-one experience for those who would love to learn how to throw with clay. Our 1 day beginners courses runs from 10am to 4pm This full-day course will give you knowledge of how to: Preparing the clay (wedging) Centre the clay Throw cylinders with the aim of producing forms of even thickness Developing basic forms Wiring pots off the wheel At the end of the course, you will then have the choice of up to 2 pots that will be glazed and fired.
2 Day Beginners Throwing Course£200.00
This wonderfully inspiring 2-day course is perfect for anyone who would love to learn how to throw and finish a clay pot and is suitable for complete beginners or anyone with existing knowledge who wishes to improve their skills. This day course consists of: DAY 1 Prepare clay (wedging and kneading) Centre the clay Throw cylinders with the aim of producing forms of even thickness Developing basic forms Making marbled designs with clay and coloured slips Wiring pots off the wheel DAY 2 Trimming pots on the wheel from day 1 Making handles Carving designs Using coloured slips for decoration At the end of the course, you will then have the choice of up to 2 pots that will be glazed and fired.
