Beginning Yoga

The New Year is the perfect time to start at the beginning and explore the fundamentals of yoga! And Beginning Yoga with Kristin is the perfect opportunity.

Whether you are completely new to yoga, only take a few classes, or have been flowing for years, Beginning Yoga is for you. We will introduce you to basic yoga poses and proper alignment, yogic breathing, relaxation and mediation techniques, and more. My goal with teaching this series is to ensure that you are comfortable, confident, and safe in your practice moving forward.

Classes will be live-streamed on Tuesday nights from 6:00 - 7:15pm, January 5th - February 23rd, 2021. Not available on Tuesdays? No problem! The Beginning Yoga Series includes access to recorded classes for use during the series.

There will be time for instruction, practice as well as time to ask questions and connect with Kristin and others in the class. For privacy reasons, this portion of the class is not recorded. Note that only the physical practice is included in the weekly recording.

Beginning Yoga classes are not recommended for pregnant women or individuals with significant illness or injury. Private sessions can be scheduled to address specific needs in a safe, one-on-one setting. Please check with your doctor or with Kristin if you have any questions or are unsure if it is a good time for you to begin a yoga practice.

Prana Vayus 5-Week Series

Join me for a 5-week exploration of the Prana Vayus. The Prana Vayus or five subdivisions of prana are what govern the movement of prana, our vital life force, throughout the body. Vata season (fall and early winter) is a great time to explore the Prana Vayus as balancing them will help keep Vata in check and imbalances at bay.

Each week we will begin with a short lecture about one of the five vayus and then we will go into an asana practice designed specifically to optimize that vayu. Asana, Prayamana, and Meditation will all be included in each 90-minute experience.

Week 4: Samana Vayu
Week 5: Vyana Vayu
