What is Scene Study /Audition Technique?
We've created an experience that supports individual work with collective energy and lends space to where scene study meets audition technique. We aim to give you, the ARTIST, a place to find and fine-tune YOUR PROCESS.

What does that mean?

Artists will alternate exploring scenes individually and as a group. This unique structure gives you the space to go deep in a structured environment that benefits you. If you've ever been to an in-person casting, our structure closely resembles that experience. In other weeks, we will be paired and work collectively with a partner.

After initial exploration, students will continue working on the material with individual guidance and insight that support their growth as an artist and an organic connection to the human experience.

Audition/On-Camera Technique.

Exclusive access to scenes to explore.
The business of acting.
Exploration of what it means to live the life of an artist.



Our core foundation is built on truth. We intend to meet you where you are to uncover that truth together. We believe all techniques should be in your toolbox; therefore, our ultimate goal is to help you be the artist you desire to be by any means necessary.

Acting the Foundation is a 6-week class geared towards those just starting this journey or those looking to fine-tune their process.
This foundational class explores improv, character development, and script analysis in a safe environment.

Through a series of exercises and exploration of various techniques, students will start to develop “their” process and what works for them.

The 4-week class structure is ongoing; students can enroll at any time, providing there is space. Classes MUST be taken in sequential order.

Each student is entitled to 1 EXCUSED absence.

We suggest a concerted effort to attend all scheduled classes, but we also understand that you have a beautiful life outside our world. The excused absence is our way of acknowledging and supporting your lifestyle.

Classes are limited in size. Once classes are full, students may ask to be placed on our waiting list.

WEDNESDAY 6:30pm-8:30pm

Our advanced teen scene study class is for ages 13-18.

To enroll, students must be at an advanced level, have previously taken classes at StarCatcher, or must be evaluated by a member of the StarCatcher team.

This is a 6-week class that explores character development and script analysis. Through a series of exercises and exploration of various techniques, students fine-tune “their” process and what works for them.

All include exercises in mindset, imagination, and exploration of the human experience.

Classes are ongoing, and students can enroll at any time, provided there is space. Classes are limited in size. Once classes are full, students may ask to be placed on our waiting list.

This 4-hour coaching package can be used in the way that best suits your needs and schedule. Packages can be used for in-studio and online coaching and tapings.

Packages must be paid for in advance.

Session time will be deducted from the total hours originally booked.
