If you're an intensive looking to hire someone to support you, it can be hard to make sure you get the right person. In the first two sessions we'll develop your job description and your ad copy so you can attract the right expansive, and talk about what you're looking for and what red flags to watch for in your hiring process. Then you'll post your ad and start working your way through applicants. The remaining four sessions are for consulting as you sift through applications, and then onboarding and beginning your work with your new assistant: how do you be a great boss? How do you make sure they're getting what they need to serve you well? How can you get the most out of your investment in support while staying ethical?

Sometimes you just want to do something nice. No fuss, no muss, no hassle. It's the dollar you'd toss in the open guitar case, or stuff in the barista's jar. You like the work I do, and you want to be a part of supporting it at an easy, basic, no-brainer level.
Please do!
This lets you subscribe so you can do it every month. If you want to give me a one-time tip, you can paypal me at paypal.me/lsinha.
Please note: this level accrues value at a straight dollar-for-dollar rate, so at the end of the year you have $12 of credit.
As with other levels of support, the credit is not redeemable for anything else. You may use or not use it, but it will expire if not used.

When I was a kid, I loved to keep the windows open when it rained. My mom said I had to close them. I said, "but it's just a tiny bit of water coming through the screen!" She said, "A little and a little makes a lot."
That's the principle behind microfunding.
As I move off of Patreon and into independently figuring out funding, I'm experimenting with a subscription option.
You like my work, you benefit from my postings and writings and would like to see more of them. Maybe you don't need or can't budget for direct work with me, but you want to be part of the support structure for what I do.
Please do! Sign up for a subscription here. As a thank you gift, I will give you a trickle feed of credits that accrue. You can use it or not, as you wish.
This subscription will accumulate credit at a slightly accelerated rate: your $3 a month becomes $5 of credit per month, such that after a year's subscription you will have enough credit for a 15 minute session. If you don't want or need to use it, that's fine, and if you want to use it as credit toward a longer session, that's also fine. Please note: this is not redeemable for a refund or any other kind of credit, and will expire annually if not used.
I don't think I've ever borrowed a cup of sugar from someone, but the interdependence that it implies--the idea that of course your neighbor will give you a little something just to make your day easier or to help you get something finished--is one that delights me. These days most of the people from whom I'd borrow sugar (or yard tools) are miles away, but if you'd like to be a neighbor, I'd love to have you.

When the muse wakes you up at 3AM on a semi-regular basis, you don't want to be out of paper. Ever.
A donation at this level moves the needle by paying for services that I use for my business--things like webhosting and online scheduling. I have half a dozen things I pay for--every one of those that gets funded is one more part of my work that is secure.
And all of you together mean my work is all secured, together. That's the principle behind microfunding.

In many cultures, for a long time, the coveted part of the house was in front. In front was where the important and special people were received, and if you were lucky enough to have an upstairs, in front was where the best bedrooms were. In front had windows that faced the street. In front was where you could see and be seen.
Like so many small business owners, my front room and my front windows are the windows of a computer screen.
If you sponsor me at this level, you cover the cost of having a website where I can publish things and where people like you can find me. I like supporting the provider I use, because they are a business that shares my values and provides great service.
And of course, if there are several of you then there are more choices and more possibilities. My goal is visibility. You can help. That's the principle behind microfunding.

This subscription will accumulate credit at a slightly accelerated rate: your $15 a month becomes $21 of credit per month, such that after a year's subscription you will have enough credit for a full one hour session. If you don't want or need to use it, that's fine, and if you want to use it as credit toward a longer session, that's also fine. There's so much power in an open door: a sanctuary, a welcome, a transformation, a softening; a changing of borders, a changing of boundaries. Doors are magical, open ones are an invitation.
This is a subscription of opening: opening to change, the kind of change that comes when you know you've got another chance. It's a subscription of twos: two a year, two of us, two new beginnings, two chances to plan, or to set and reset course. If you're someone who wants a couple of appointments a year but tends to forget to save or forget to schedule, this might be your perfect chance.
As a thank you for your commitment and the regularity of a subscription, this subscription accrues value at a slightly accelerated rate, so your $28/month is worth $42 a month, such that you can schedule two full hour long sessions per year.
Please note: this is not redeemable for a refund or any other kind of credit and will expire annually if not used.
Space to think, to create, to write, to conceptualize is both mental and physical. Woolf's famous room, the one that everyone should have, is a beautiful metaphor for everything that it means to be dedicated to something. Dedication isn't just in your head or your heart. It's also in your body.
This is a subscription of dedication--mine and yours. As a thank you for that dedication (and the reliable nature of a subscription) your credit accrues at an accelerated rate: you get $83.3 credit for every $55 monthly payment, such that you get one full hour session per quarter, or a half hour every six weeks (approximately). If you're a person who is always almost-but-not-quite within reach of paying for a session, this might be the ideal solution.
Please note: this is not redeemable for a refund or any other kind of credit and will expire annually if not used.
