Contract to Spreading the Music

*** I authorize Spreading the Music LLC to deduct single payment or monthly Payments for private music lessons, group classes, or unlimited rehearsal space if I am enrolled. I must pay the $20.00 registration fee to secure my time slot. If I wish to make any changes to automatic billing or discontinue lessons, I will let the administration know before the 1st of the month and will contact the school at 504-655-1137 or email info@spreadingthemusic.com. I can also call the owner Candace Crawford at ccconservatory@gmail.com or billing@spreadingthemusic.com. Payment by Square invoice, check, or Cash must be received by Spreading the Music no later than the 7th of the month or by my first lesson of the month without penalty. I understand that Spreading the Music does not offer refunds after being charged on the 1st and only offers credit towards lessons. I understand that lessons are paid by the month and not per time slot. I can discontinue at any time after a month is completed. I will give the administration 24 hours’ notice that I am unable to complete payment by the 7th of the month without penalty. One-time payment by card over the phone is acceptable or a check by your next time slot. I must update Spreading the Music Directly if my payment information has changed, is closed, or needs updating.

Spreading the Music Studio Rental Terms and Conditions

This contract represents an agreement between Spreading the Music (STM), and “Renter” as named in this studio rental confirmation. If the renter fails to uphold any of the following terms of this agreement, Renter’s studio privileges may be revoked. By engaging to rent Spreading the Music’ (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) music studio you, the undersigned (herein referred to as the “Renter”), hereby state that you have read, fully understand, and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Payment: Renter will provide full payment for all reservations of studio space in US funds. Renter’s date will not be held until this payment is received and cleared. Payment is not refunded unless notice of cancellation is made at least 48 hours before Renter’s reservation date (Renter will receive a full refund if cancellation occurs prior to 48 hours before the reserved date). If the Company must cancel Renter’s reservation, Renter will receive a full refund. Payment for Renter’s rental must be received before Renter’s reserved time begins. The company reserves the right to refuse reservations at its sole discretion.
2. Length of Use: Hourly rental periods are 60-180 minutes. Renters must vacate the room after the time limit is complete. Additional time can always be added for an additional fee. Studio clean-up must be completed by the end of the rental period. If the studio is not satisfactorily returned to the state it was prior to the rental period, a clean-up fee will be assessed. Overtime will be calculated in increments of 15 minutes beyond the contracted end-time of the rental period when the renter is either still using or cleaning up the studio space. Overtime fees will be assessed as per the Spreading the Music Rate sheet. Do not arrive late - Renter’s rental time begins promptly.
3. Keys: Renters agree not to inform any person of the code for the front door key lockbox. Renters may be given a key, which must be dropped in the studio’s mail slot after closing at the end of your event. A renter will be charged a $75 replacement fee for any key lost or not returned.
4. Security: Each renter assumes responsibility for the security of the space and its equipment during each rental period. Renters with keys are required to return the space to a secure state upon leaving by locking up the sound system, locking the door, and depositing the key(s) in the studio mail slot, or in the lockbox.
5. Emergencies: For any emergency situations including accidents, health crises, criminal activities, or fire, call 911. There is an office phone available in case of an emergency though it is highly suggested to have a cell phone and charge on hand.
6. Damage: Each renter will assume full responsibility for any damage caused to any part of the entryway, studio, dressing room, bathroom, stereo equipment, floors, windows, mirrors, walls, ceilings, etc. sustained during the renter’s scheduled studio time and time in the studio. Each renter agrees to pay in full for repair or replacement of any item or structure damaged by the renters or by performers, collaborators, students, or guests invited to STM by the renter. Full payment for damage shall be made within ONE MONTH of the damage.
7. Liability: Each renter assumes liability for injury of any persons they invite to space, including but not limited to: injury to students in the renter’s class, injury to performers or collaborators in the rehearsal, injury to guests or audience members at a showing.
8. Housekeeping: Each renter assumes responsibility for returning the studio to a good state before they leave. All lights, the heater, fans, and electrical equipment must be turned off. Trash and litter must be removed and place in garbage provided in the room or in in the restroom. Please sweep if necessary and leave the studio in the best possible condition for the next renter.
9. Miscellany: This Agreement incorporates the entire understanding and agreement between the Client and the Company. Any modifications of this Agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties. Any waiver of a breach or default hereunder shall not be deemed a waiver of a subsequent breach or default of either the same provision or any other provision of this Agreement. The parties have read both this entire Agreement, agree to all its terms, and acknowledge receipt of a complete copy of the Agreement signed by both parties. Each person signing as Client below shall be fully responsible for ensuring that full payment is made pursuant to the terms of this Agreement.

Monthly studio rentors will be provided a unique code of unlimited access for rehearsals. This code/package is redeemable only to the individual listed above. Do not share this code with anyone including the members of your band. You and only you can sign up for rehearsal space for your band. If it comes to our attention that someone else has redeemed your package a $100 fine will be charged.
