During our time together, we’ll explore a range of mind-body tools and practices that I hope will improve your health and wellbeing so you can live a happier, calmer and more fulfilling life.
Our sessions are intended to build a foundation for your own unique practice that supports your wellbeing needs. There are many innovative ways to do this so please come prepared to play and explore what’s right for you!
Sessions are held in my studio in Waimauku or online on Zoom and last for 75 minutes. The number of sessions in your package will be confirmed before we start working together.
You're free to book the sessions in your package as often as works for you. Depending on the work we're doing, weekly or every 2 weeks generally seem to work well. I’m a big supporter of keeping things flexible (within reason for both parties) and am happy to be guided by your needs and what shows up in each session.
This package is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. I'll consider the package complete if more than 3 months passes without all sessions being booked or communication between us that explain what's going on. Remaining unused sessions will be considered cancelled at this point.
We’ll use the first session to get to know each other better, agree how we’re going to engage and set a goal for what you’d like to achieve in these sessions. As the client, you're always in the driving seat and get to set the pace and the direction for our time together. To do my job well,I may ask lots of questions. If at any stage, this feels overwhelming and you need a break or a timeout, please speak up!
In my experience, a coaching relationship works best when both parties show up to the process to the best of their abilities. I'll do my bit by being on time, being present, being in a quiet space conducive for coaching and listening mindfully when you speak. I ask that you show up with all of you too. Strong emotions are welcome, as is a willingness to engage, discuss and debate, with kindness and respect. I won't know all the answers to your questions and challenges and I can’t 'fix' you or your life. I will, however, do my utmost to support you bringing about the change you’ve recognised you want. My intention is always to be kind (even if gentle butt- kicking is required at times) and to help you learn useful things, make decisions and take actions that are appropriate for you. I encourage you to take ownership of our time together and request that you be responsible for booking your sessions - I trust your ability to discern what you need and pace our work appropriately.
Whatever we discuss, stays with us. I won't share it with a third party without your permission unless I consider you to be at risk to yourself or others. From time to time, I may request your permission to discuss some aspects of our coaching with a supervisor / mentor so that I can keep developing my skills and improving the way I support you. If this happens, I won't disclose any details that might identify you.
I'm happy for you drop me a quick email between sessions for a quick check in or steer. If this becomes excessive, however, or starts to take up unreasonable amounts of my time, I may ask you to 'convert' one of your sessions to email or text time to keep things fair and square all round. I hope we can discuss this rationally should the need arise!
Please note coaching is not meant to fulfil the role of therapy. If we encounter challenges beyond my scope as a coach in the course of our work together, I may suggest you seek additional therapeutic support. This is always meant as support, even if it feels uncomfortable to discuss at the time. The road to wellbeing and healing can be challenging, requiring many layers of support and a range of tools - where I'm not able to provide these for you, I'll do my best to help you find what we decide together will support you best. If you have any serious physical or mental health challenges, please discuss these with me so we can assess whether coaching is suitable for you right now.
You can reschedule a session more than 24 hours before the session time with no penalty. If you cancel within 24 hours or don’t show up, the session cost will be payable and a session will be deducted from the number of sessions purchased as part of your package. Common sense and human decency will be applied wherever possible from my side as the Coach, and hopefully from your side as the Client too!
I'm committed to helping you achieve your goals. Sometimes, though, life takes us on detours we weren't expecting and initial objectives may change as we work together. That's not to say you won't get results - they may simply look and feel different to what we were both expecting at the outset. Should you experience dissatisfaction with my services along the way, I hope we'll be able to resolve things constructively for both parties. If we can’t make things work, I'm happy to discuss a refund for any unused sessions, subject to a $100 admin fee as long as this is within the period of validity of your package.

I'm committed to transparent, open communication right from the beginning of our engagement and I welcome clarification. It's important to me that we both know what we're getting into as we engage with each other.
