This package is a 3-Month Unlimited Consult package with GI Map & OAT tests included as well as a nutrigenomic consult using your genetic raw data.
The GI-MAP (GI Microbial Assay Plus) stool test utilizes cutting edge, Quantitative PCR technology to provide a true DNA/PCR based stool test. This technology has high sensitivity, specificity and a rapid turnaround. The GI pathogens include bacteria, parasites and viruses. Continuing with this platform, the GI-MAP measures opportunistic organisms, normal flora, fungi, parasites and antibiotic resistance genes. And the Plus refers to immunologic markers for GI health and function including SIgA, Elastase, Calprotectin and Anti-gliadin testing.
The OAT offers a comprehensive metabolic snapshot of an individual's overall health with over 70 markers. It provides an accurate evaluation of intestinal yeast and bacteria. Abnormally high levels of these microorganisms can cause or worsen behavior disorders, hyperactivity, movement disorders, fatigue and immune function. Many people with chronic illnesses and neurological disorders often excrete several abnormal organic acids in their urine. The cause of these high levels could include oral antibiotic use, high sugar diets, immune deficiencies, acquired infections, as well as genetic factors.
This Organic Acids Test also includes markers for vitamin and mineral levels, oxidative stress, neurotransmitter levels, and is the only OAT to include markers for oxalates, which are highly correlated with many chronic illnesses.
If abnormalities are detected using the OAT, suggestions can include supplements, such as vitamins and antioxidants, or dietary modification. Upon treatment, patients and practitioners have reported significant improvement such as decreased fatigue, regular bowel function, increased energy and alertness, increased concentration, improved verbal skills, less hyperactivity, and decreased abdominal pain. The OAT is strongly recommended as the initial screening test.
The Nutrigenomic Package incorporates your genetics, symptoms and lab results to help you get a clear picture of how your genes are expressing so that you can formulate a health plan to support your genes and any pathways which may be burdened.
Sample reports of the OAT, GI Map and Nutrigenomics can be viewed here: https://functionalhealthmama.com/samplereports/
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot send test kits, to those who live in the following states: MD, NJ, NY, and RI. Also note, if you live in these states the lab will not accept your sample.
