Dog training and behaviour consultations – Terms and conditionsThese T&Cs are in the interest of safety, welfare, and responsibility for our clients. Please ensure you have read and understood them before you make a booking. Upon making payment for services you are deemed to have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions.We aim to work with you and your dog using up-to-date, force free and reward based training. Harsh handling or aversive methods/equipment will not be tolerated; this includes but is not limited to pinch/prong collars, electric collars, compressed air sprays and water sprays. Your trainer reserves the right to cut short a session if these specifications are not followed and if this is the case, a refund will not be issued.Payment should be made at the time of booking unless agreed in advance with Hound About Town. Until payment is made your booking is not confirmed and your slot may be reserved by someone else. At this time we only accept online bookings.Cancellation of a session must be at least 48 hours in advance of your appointment otherwise your booking will be forfeit and you will be charged the full fee. Refunds will not be issued unless there are exceptional circumstances. It may be possible to reschedule your session to a time mutually agreeable if you have given more than 48 hours notice of your intention however less notice than this will count as a cancellation. Cancellation of a programme must be at least 48 hours in advance of any booked appointment and you will be charged a £20 admin fee as well as the current rate for any sessions already undertaken.
Sessions are only valid for a certain amount of time (depending on which programme you have booked). It is entirely your responsibility to ensure you have booked all of the sessions within the valid time frame. Failure to do so means that the missed sessions are forfeit and you will not be refunded.
Dogs must always be kept under control when we enter your premises. Failure to do so and any injury caused by your dog being out of control will be your full responsibility. We carry comprehensive insurance (Cliverton); however, any accident or injury during training sessions may not be covered if you have failed to use appropriate equipment or fail to follow all given advice.Any photos or videos taken may be used for marketing on our website, Facebook, or other marketing. We may also use photos of dogs and handlers to celebrate achievements on Facebook. If you would rather not have photos or videos of your dog used in this way please let us know at time of booking.
COVID 19 - In the event of a full lockdown sessions will be held on Zoom. Behavioural sessions which require in person appointments will be rescheduled.
