For acute issues, acupuncture works best when appointments are scheduled closer together, rather than spread over a longer period of time. You will see deeper, more comprehensive results when you engage with the work more completely. Ideally, a weekly visit for 3 to 6 weeks, following the Initial visit.

For people who respond more quickly, it can be helpful to have the option of a monthly or quarterly "tune-up." For more complex issues, a series of weekly, or bi-weekly sessions will reinforce lasting change.
