Please read these Terms & Conditions prior to proceeding with your purchase as payment is due at time of purchase and is non-refundable. While we offer payment by credit card or PayPal, as a small business, our preferred method is eTransfer to avoid significant fees of the payment service providers. Services will not be offered without full payment being received prior to the first scheduled session.

Refund Policy

We operate no refund policy outside of our “think about it” period for all purchases of services and products. This means that you may request a refund within 7-days of the date of purchase so long as the service is not scheduled to begin within 7 days of your purchase. This policy is to allow us time to try and re-fill the position. No exceptions will be made and all refunds will be less a 10% administration fee applied.

Use 'em or Lose 'em Policy

Once you have purchased a service from us that is offered in group sessions or with an expiry date, we operate a "use 'em or lose 'em" policy. For example, if you have purchased a group training package and you miss one or more of the five scheduled session, then you have forfeited those sessions and there is no opportunity for re-scheduling. If you have purchased a private training package or service, unless previously requested and approved in writing by Pooch Partners, you must use up the sessions prior to the stated expiry date or the unused sessions are forfeited as of that date.

Re-scheduling of Private Sessions

We require at least 24 hrs written notice (text or email) to be able to re-schedule private sessions and the session must be re-scheduled within 7 days of the cancellation to avoid forfeiture.

Session Format

We book sessions back to back, so time is of the essence. Unless otherwise stated, sessions commence at the scheduled time with a typical one hour training session comprised of 5-15 minutes for arrival, setup and review , followed by 30-40 minutes of demonstrations and/or practical exercises, and concluding with 5-15 minutes for questions/take down and exiting. This means that a session may be completed in less than 60 minutes, and in all circumstances, participants will have exited the session within a 60 minute maximum.

Equipment

Depending on the type of service, you may be required to provide equipment such as canicross equipment, computer, tablet, smart phone, etc. We do not provide equipment but can answer questions on how you can use it for your specific training package or service.

Termination of Services

Sometimes client/trainer relationships don’t work out, so you or I may, at our discretion, choose to terminate our services by submitting a written termination notice via email or text within 24 hrs of a scheduled session. In the event of termination of services, there will not be any refund issued.

Confidentiality

To provide services to you, Pooch Partners may require information regarding your home environment and home video recording equipment. Recording within your home will only be conducted during scheduled sessions unless otherwise agreed to with you in advance. If you share any images and/or videos taken by you with Pooch Partners they will only be used for purposes of providing services to you unless your consent to their use for other purposes.

Privacy

We collect and use only the information necessary to provide our services and products to you. If you sign up to receive our newsletter, we use your name and email address to keep you up to date with our news and to monitor the success of our campaigns. An unsubscribe link is available to you in every newsletter. We use your data only for the purposes for which it was provided to us, consistent with these Terms & Conditions.

How We Use Cookies

If you visit our website, we use cookies which enables you to navigate through the website and purchase services and products. You may restrict cookie use through your browser settings, however this may impact your website experience.

Consent

By proceeding with this purchase, you consent to Pooch Partners use of:

• your phone number to send SMS reminders prior to your scheduled session(s) which may be subject to your phone carriers’ text messaging rates. You may opt out of receiving text message reminders by replying STOP to the first or any subsequent text message reminder. You can re-enable the reminders by replying START to the same message.
• information relating to your participation in Pooch Partners services with your dog(s), including but not limited to photographs, video and/or audio recordings, or any other record of the training/service for purposes of improving, expanding, creating, and marketing our services, and you waive all rights to any future compensation to which you may otherwise be entitled as a result of the use of your information, image, or likeness. You may withdraw your consent in writing to bark@poochpartners.ca . Please note that withdrawing your consent may impact some of the services offered to you (i.e., no video recording of training sessions will be taken), will not apply to any usages of your information by Pooch Partners prior to your consent withdrawal, and no refund will be offered for any reduction in services due to your choice to withdraw your consent.

Waiver

You agree to abide by all Pooch Partners' instructions and understand that at all times the sole responsibility for the conduct and safety of yourself and your dog remains with you.

You understand and agree, on behalf of yourself, your heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin that your electronic submission of this agreement constitutes:

An unqualified assumption by you of all risks resulting from any cause whatsoever associated with you and your dog's participation in any Pooch Partners' activities even if arising from the negligence or gross negligence of Pooch Partners, their directors, officers, employees, trainers, contractors, agents, representatives, sponsors, advertisers, volunteers, and any others participating in any capacity (collectively referred to as “the Releasees”).

A full and final release and waiver of liability and all claims that you have, or may in the future have, against the Releasees from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury or expense that you may suffer as a result of you or your dog’s participation or presence at any Pooch Partners' activities or events, and/or related activities of the Releasees due to any cause whatsoever.

An agreement to indemnify, and to save and hold harmless the Releasees from all alleged actions, suits, claims, costs, losses, damages, charges, and expenses whatsoever (collectively a “Claim”) for or in respect of, any direct or indirect actions of you and or your dog whatsoever, including but not limited to loss, damage or injury to you, your dog, other animals, people (including without limitation Pooch Partners), or property while you and your dog participate in any Pooch Partners’ activities.

YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF SUCCESSFUL ELIMINATION OR MODIFICATION OF YOUR DOG’S UNWANTED BEHAVIOUR. THE ONLY GUARANTEE THAT HAS BEEN OFFERED IS THAT TRAINER WILL DO THEIR BEST TO HELP SUPPORT THE CLIENT. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT DOG TRAINING DOES NOT PROVIDE EXACT RESULTS AND THAT FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE PROFESSIONAL ADVICE GIVEN TO YOU BY THE TRAINER MAY RESULT IN AN ESCALATION OF UNWANTED BEHAVIOURS AND TRAINING PROBLEMS. ADDITIONALLY, YOU ARE FULLY AWARE THAT THE TRAINER IS NOT A VETERINARIAN OR MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL AND DOES NOT DIAGNOSE OR TREAT MEDICAL CONDITIONS, NOR RECOMMEND TREATMENTS, MEDICATIONS, OR NUTRITION.
