COVID Membership & Class Policies (Sign your new COVID waiver here!)

• COVID-19 Relevant Safety Precautions: You must complete your COVID-19 waiver prior to participating in any Checkmate Boxing related activities. Be wearing your face mask on approach and at any time you are within 6 feet of anyone else and obey all verbal instructions or signage.
• Membership/Sessions: Sessions are booked online by a first-come first-served policy. There are no enrollment fees or cancellation fees for memberships, but you must give a 30-day notice before cancelling your recurring monthly membership. If you need to freeze or cancel your membership due to extenuating circumstances (medical reasons, relocation, etc.), please contact us at the gym or at info@checkmateboxing.com so that we can cancel or place your membership on hold. After cancelling your membership, you have 30-days to use your remaining credits subject to loss of the session credits.
• Waitlist: If a class is full, please sign up on the waitlist or send us an e-mail at info@checkmateboxing.com. If a space opens up more than 4-hours to the start of a session, you will receive an e-mail confirmation or phone call that you’ve secured a space in the class.
• Late Cancellation/No Shows: Any cancellations after that time will be considered a “Late Cancellation” and you will be subject to a penalty fee of $10. If you are not physically present in the studio within 5 minutes of your session time, you will be considered a “No Show” and you will forfeit a class session.
• Credit Card Charges: By signing this agreement, you authorize Checkmate Boxing to charge your credit card for session bookings, changes, and cancellations fees that violate our Late Cancellation/No Show policy described above. You acknowledge that Checkmate Boxing requires a credit card to be kept on file, and you authorize the card to be charged for any Late Cancellation fees or damage/loss of equipment not returned at the end of your session.
• Refunds: Checkmate Boxing does not offer refunds and does not transfer membership/session purchases. If you wish to cancel your session before the 4-hour session cancellation time period, it will be credited back to your account.
• Minors: Minors under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Minors between the ages of 14-18 may participate in Checkmate Boxing activities and sessions as long as the Waiver of Liability & Assumption of Risk Agreement has been signed by a parent or legal guardian. Checkmate Boxing reserves the right to require a parent or guardian to accompany their minor at all times.
• Solicitations: You may not solicit members (including solicitations for religious, political, business opportunities, or competitive products/services) or conduct personal training on Checkmate Boxing’s facility premises at any time (with or without compensation) without the express authorization of Checkmate Boxing Inc. Checkmate Boxing retains sole discretion in determining whether members are engaged in personal training.

Furthermore, Checkmate Boxing prides itself on being a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable community environment for all. As such, please be kind and respectful to your fellow class members and trainers! Any inappropriate, vulgar, disrespectful, or unsafe conduct (including abrasive, offensive, or insulting language, lewd behavior or any actions that harass clients or employees, or inappropriate use of equipment inconsistent with its design or purpose) will not be tolerated and will result in the termination of your membership with no refund. Checkmate Boxing reserves the right to deny access to any person deemed acting in an inappropriate or unsafe manner.
