All prescreen filming takes place in person at Ripley-Grier Studios (520 8th Ave) in NYC, one of the city's premiere professional studios. Mimi will also upload and label all your footage in Dropbox and mark her "favorite" takes to help simplify your process.

If you're interested in having a professional accompanist to play for you during filming, Mimi can make that happen for an extra fee. If you prefer piano accompaniment tracks, she can also make sure you have appropriate tracks for whatever cut you might be using. Similarly, if you'd like to film your Dance Prescreens with Mimi, she can bring in a colleague to choreograph and teach you a combination appropriate to your level and needs on the day of filming, for an extra fee. This package also includes Mimi's annual Master Calendar of Application and Prescreen Deadlines, plus her annual Master List of Prescreen and Audition Requirements. These documents take so much of the organizational work off your plate as you try to keep track of each school's individual deadlines and requirements!

Mimi may suggest a few programs to add to your list in order to diversify your options and maximize your chances of acceptance to a school you're excited about. She may suggest strategies for evaluating if you have TOO MANY schools you're applying to, as well. During this first hour, you'll also go over your headshot, resume formatting, essay and statements, and other personal presentation items with Mimi!

2) Woodshedding your current go-to songs and monologues. You'll spend one of your hour coachings going through what you have so far, and Mimi will (where applicable) pull new monologue ideas and song cuts for you to "try on" to see if you'd like to switch up your material for pieces you're more excited about.

3) After you've made final decisions on your songs, we'll spend an hour coaching session deeply coaching them to be sure you feel confident to film!
