Private Beginner Riding Lessons for children or adults

$185.00
per month
All lessons are handled on a subscription basis. This allows us to plan the lessons ahead of time so that you get the most out of your time. Monthly subscriptions also help us budget for the horse's feed, hay, vet, and farrier bills.

Each monthly subscription includes:
*A 30-minute private mounted riding lesson every week.
*A one hour group unmounted horsemanship lesson every week.
*One monthly Sunday afternoon outdoor & socially distanced farm social for you plus a friend. Where you can meet other riders and bring a friend to meet your favorite horse. Mask wearing is mandatory at the social.

Our horses, Moose and Carla are gentle giants. They are PERFECT for the beginner or timid riders. They have way more woe than go and will take care of their rider. These big sweethearts will be your best friends in no time. There is nothing quite like a big friendly horse. A little time with one of these two is a guarantee for a more peaceful mind. Riding Moose or Carla is a safe and exciting real-world experience that will have you or your child gladly give up screen time. Each class has a set list of skills and techniques that you will learn. At the same time, we always go at the student's pace. You are in charge of your horse journey, we are just your guide.

*Our prices are less than half the price of other riding lessons offered in the area. It's not because we have lower standards in care or instruction. But we know how hard things are right now for everyone. Being around horses can be an instrumental tool in greater mental well-being during these challenging times. It's our goal to make this experience as accessible as possible.

*What about Mom, Dad or younger siblings? Can they hang out at the farm while the student takes their 30-minute lesson? ABSOLUTELY. We totally encourage family members that are waiting on someone to take a lesson to hang out at the farm. The family is invited to hang out with us at the round pen and watch or you can visit with the goats, miniature donkeys, chickens, and guinea hens in the petting area.
