Semaglutide is in a class of medication called incretin mimetics. It works by helping the pancreas to release the right amount of insulin when the blood sugar levels are high Insulin helps move sugar from the blood to other body tissues where it is used for energy. It also acts as a hormone in your body called GLP1 which is responsible for controlling appetite, helping in reducing food cravings and increase feelings of fullness, leading to a reduction in calorie intake and a gradual sustainable weight loss. This medication is not recommended for those with a history of pancreatitis and contraindicated in patients with medullary thyroid cancer , history or family history or in patients with multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MENS2). It is not recommended in pregnancy.

1) Schedule a free consultation with our clinician
2) We will obtain your labs so we can assess your baseline before you embark on your weight loss journey. We also accept your labs from other physicians if less than 3 months from your start date.
3) After scheduling, you will receive the paper works via your phone, complete and send back to us.
4) Next is your scheduled appointment . We prefer you come in for an office evaluation, however, we understand that sometimes it is not possible, in the case of telehealth, our clinician will see you via an audio visual (a link will be sent to you) and your medications will be ordered and shipped to you after the consultation.

Follow Up:
It is our believe that the follow up is an important part of your weight loss journey so our phone line is open 24hours for a TEXT message - 575-373-7252. You will receive a response in 24hours or less. For emergencies, please call 911 and follow up with us. We see you once a month either telehealth or face to face throughout your journey. All costs are included in the initial payment.

Ordering:
In order to save cost, we order medications on Fridays and have the pharmacy ship to our clinic directly and then our patients can pick up from us, however, if out of town, we can ship to you after we have received it from the pharmacy and double checked on orders. The cost of medication was calculated based on shipping from the pharmacy to the clinic, and this helps keep our cost down. Please note that if we have to ship to you, then that will incur extra expense, feel free to send us a label or we can use our cost effective shipping method and you pay for the shipping, this is usually less than $50 extra. This medication MUST be shipped refrigerated next day. Your medications come in ready to give syringes as dispensed from the pharmacy with alcohol swabs and needles for 1 month at a time.
