A four pottery week course where you'll learn the basics of throwing and trimming mugs and bowls.
Stoneware Studios is a boutique throwing school where our strength is our small class sizes. There'll never be more than 4 students in a class with an expert tutor, so you'll get bucket loads of hands on tuition often missing in other pottery schools.
Each weekly session is 2 hours long and you'll spend it on the wheel, throwing and trimming pots, and glazing your creations.
Week 1 - Throwing small pots (mugs and small bowls)
Week 2 - Throwing larger pieces (large bowls and plates). Trimming week 1's pieces
Week 3 - Trimming larger pieces. Attaching handles to mugs. Throwing a candlestick holder.
Week 4 - Glazing all of your pieces and loading into the kiln.
All materials and firing costs are included in the price so there's no hidden costs.

What does the class entail?

These sessions are brilliant for those who want lots of hands on tuition to really develop. Equally useful for complete beginners or those wanting some expert guidance on how to develop their existing pottery practice.
Within this session you can expect to make 1-3 pots (it just depends on how quick you are!) and at the end of the class you'll choose your favourite pot which will be glazed and fired in the kiln for you.
