Students will tour the canyon of the South Yuba River via the Buttermilk Bend Trail, studying the unique geologic features they encounter along the way. They will learn about the geology of the area and the role the South Yuba River plays in supporting the surrounding ecosystem. Best suited for grades 4-6.
