Jessica is the founder of Birth Takes A Village. Her practice focuses on gentle, informed, and powerful experiences for home births, miscarriages, and abortions. She also teaches prenatal classes and trains doulas, educating both the public and other professionals. In addition, she is committed to growing a "village" of doulas and associates who are in line with the Birth Takes A Village philosophy; check them out, too!
Meetings typically take place in the client's home, unless otherwise discussed.
Lev Prud'homme
Lev is a birth and abortion doula who strives to work within an anti-oppression framework, and to understand how every body lives a unique experience in relation to themselves, to others, and to their surroundings. They believe people with uteri deserve deeply compassionate care and respect when it comes to all aspects of their reproductive health, including birth and miscarriage and for any clients looking for a supportive and holistic approach when considering abortion.
