For family members and close contacts of patients diagnosed with MRSA, patients recently hospitalized who suspect they might have MRSA or screening for asymptomatic carriage of MRSA.
A small swab is applied to the front of both nostrils for the test. Results are usually back the next business day.
Test results will be emailed to you. If (+), Dr. Bowden will consult with you on treatment.
The lab charges $75 for this test; credit card or HSA account information will be sent to the lab with the swab
