State Park staff will lead students to learn about the biodiversity of California’s grasslands, savannah, and oak woodlands, and how this web of life is bound together by everything from fungus to woodpeckers to the people who have lived here for untold millennia. Students will also learn about the peoples here: from the Coast Miwok, through Spanish and Mexican control, and into the California era including an early Victorian garden and the Grateful Dead. This field trip is for grades K-5.
