We repair bows, and do professional rehairs on all bows. We also evaluate mystery bows for maker and value.

If you are in a hurry, we can usually do a rush rehair, while you wait. There will be an extra charge of $40 on top of the rehair charge ($80 for Violins, Violas and Cellos, $90 for basses.

We can change strings on any bowed, string instruments: violin, viola, gambas, cellos, bass and other international instruments. $7/string will include servicing the pegs (if necessary) checking your bridge and nut grooves, etc.

We are a full service repair luthier shop. We work on all bowed, stringed instruments: violin, viola, cello, bass, viola da gamba. We can do all manner of repair and enhancements, from simple setup changes to enhance the sound of your instrument, to neck grafts, cracks or serious damage repairs. You will receive a copy of a work estimate for instruments that need to be left here to be worked on. If you require a setup consultation with Linda, there will be a $60 charge for her time.

If you have purchased a cello from us, pls bring it in 6 months after purchase, then annually, for our free checkup.

We are an appointment only shop! When you come in, you are the star and we are here for you, and only you. We have a nice showroom to try out cellos, violins, violas and bows, and if you are shopping for cases, we will pull them out until you find something that is perfect for you and your instrument.

We rent instruments to anyone living within 60 miles of our Santa Barbara, California shop. You must have a credit card that we can charge each month using Square Payment recurring payments. You also must come into the shop to pick up your rental.
