The conferences are designed for parents to discuss rather urgent academic issues with teachers. We do not want to discourage anyone from attending, but we also do not want to prevent parents from scheduling meetings that may be more urgent. If your son has made a good adjustment and seems to be doing well in a particular class, we would ask that you refrain from scheduling an appointment. Parents should not feel obligated to meet with the teachers.
