Central PA AME is a limited practice devoted entirely to serving pilots and FAA employees of Central and Northern tier Pennsylvania. Samuel E. Schrack, D.O. is a Senior FAA & HIMS Medical Examiner and has been designated as an examiner since 1992. Third Class Medical Exam

1 hour @ $145.00

Private Pilot, Recreational Pilot, or Student Pilot

Valid for 24 months if the airman is age 40 or over on or before the date of the examination.
Valid for 60 months if the airman has not reached age 40
on or before the date of examination.

Second Class Medical Exam

1 hour @ $145.00

Commercial Pilot; Flight Engineer; Flight Navigator; or Air Traffic Control Tower Operator. (Not including FAA Air Traffic Control Specialists)
Valid any age, expires 12th month after the month of the date of examination shown on the medical certificate.

First Class Medical Exam

1 hour @ $145.00

Airline Transport Pilot

Under age 40, expires 12th month after the month of the date of examination shown on the medical certificate.
Age 40 and over, expires 6th month after the month of the date of examination shown on the medical certificate

First Class Medical Exam with EKG

1 hour @ $195.00

EKG required at age 35 and annually after age 40 (first-class only)

AME Assisted Special Issuance of Interim Certificate

30 minutes @ $75.00

Following the granting of an Authorization for Special Issuance of a Medical Certificate (Authorization) by the AMCD or RFS, an Examiner may reissue a medical certificate to an applicant if all required documentation is satisfactory. A medical exam is not required.
