Tui Na is an ancient healing art that employs the use of key acupressure points on the surface of the body. When these points are stimulated they release tension, increase circulation and improve the body’s own natural healing process. Tui Na also works on trauma in the muscle, breaking down knots and scar tissue at the local level to increase the flow of blood, nutrients and oxygen to carry away damaged tissue. Tui Na is recognised in China as a distinct medical system in its own right.

Reflex points on the feet correspond to particular organs, systems or structures in the body. Stress, illness or just the normal daily grind can cause energy pathways in the body to become blocked and imbalanced, preventing organs and systems from functioning optimally. Stimulation of points also activates the parasympathetic nervous system to aid healing and relaxation.

Cupping enhances blood circulation, speeds up muscle recovery, removes toxins and dead cells, bringing stagnant blood to the surface of the skin, allowing fresh blood and nutrients into the tissue.
Cups are placed onto the skin creating a vacuum. The negative pressure then draws the skin, muscle, and fascia up into the cup, providing relief from physical and emotional tensions. Cups can used statically, or moving them with flash cupping and dredging the meridian channels by sliding the cups over the skin.

The moment we begin to chant there is a feeling of letting go, a deepening of the breath and a sense of coming home. We can let go of the doership and simply be in the present. While focussing on these repetitive sounds our thoughts begin to recede. When the chants end, we can bathe in the silence that remains. Feelings of fear, anger and separation are gently transformed into feelings of love, compassion and Oneness.
Kirtan is for everyone. No prior experience of chanting is necessary.

In this Kundalini yoga workshop we will systematically move the energy of the body to release stuck emotion in the organs and tissues of the body as well as from the subconscious. When you feel emotion and do not process it effectively, it gets stuck in the body creating distortions in the energy flow, tension and ultimately dis-ease. This workshop will help you to release stuck emotion so that the energy can flow more effectively through your body, supporting greater ease, intuition, vitality and joy.
