A few notes on the online booking system. While helpful, it does have its limitations, so please refer to this for general guidelines in regards to the start times for your session.

I typically shoot two sessions per day, one in the morning, and one in the afternoon/evening. While the online booking site I've currently chosen to use insists upon putting actual times, you are not limited to only those two options (8am or 4pm).

If booking the "8:00 AM" Morning Session, we can start at any time up until noon. If shooting outdoors, the light is best early, and typically degrades throughout the day (provided there isn't heavy to moderate cloud cover). I am an early riser, so sunrise is absolutely fine with me if you are willing, but typically 7am to 9am starts work best. If choosing between awesome light and unhappy people, or happy people and imperfect light, I would always choose the latter.

If booking the "4:00 PM" Afternoon/Evening session, we can start any time after 1pm in the afternoon. If shooting outdoors, the light is best later, so I prefer to start 1.5 to 2 hours before sunset. As the sunset varies throughout the year - in high summer sunset can be as late as 8pm, or if in winter, after our clocks, "fall back," we often can't start later then 3:30pm - I suggest looking up the projected sunset of the date you are contemplating booking, if you think work or school may interfere with the start of your session.
