There will be NO REFUNDS if an animal is turned down. It is your responsibility as an owner to make sure your pet is healthy, within weight limits, etc. Animals are turned down day of surgery and no one can be booked in their place.
Pets must be older than 3-4 months old.
Dogs may not eat past 10 pm the evening prior to surgery (water may be given unlimited)
Cats may not eat past midnight (water may be given unlimited)
Please note that a current rabies vaccination is required to be eligible for the low-cost spay/neuter services through this program. Pet owners must provide adequate proof in the form of medical records/paperwork from the provider of the vaccine if their pets have a current rabies vaccination. Rabies tags are NOT considered adequate proof of current rabies vaccination. If your pet does not have a current vaccination, you can purchase this during scheduling.
Due to the quantity of surgeries performed per day, we must limit the animals that we accept.
We cannot accept the following animals:
- Dogs 6 years and older (5 and older for dogs 50+ pounds)
- Cats 10 years and older
- Pets under 3-4 months old
- Dogs weighing over 65 pounds
- Cats weighing under 3.5 pounds
- Trapped, feral or aggressive animals
- Animals with pre-existing medical conditions such as heartworm positive, obese, heart murmur, etc.
- Brachycephalic breeds (English Bulldogs, Pugs, Boston Terriers, etc.)
Select the procedure you need and you will then be able to choose the date. If all the slots are taken for your chosen day, please choose another date in the future.
There are many additional items also available at a minimum cost during your pet's surgery. These are:
- 3 day supply of additional pain medication - $5
- DA2PP vaccine (Dogs only) - $10
- Elizabethan collar - $10
- FVRCP vaccine (Cats only) - $10
- Nail trim - $5
- Rabies Vaccine (Required if you do not have proof of vaccination.) - $10 (If you do not pre-order for rabies vaccine, it will be $20 on the day of surgery.)
Please pay particular attention and register for all these during initial sign up as this is the paperwork that gets turned into the vet a week prior to surgery and add on later may not be possible.
A micro-chip will be implanted into each pet at the time of surgery. This is FREE of charge to you. This micro-chip has a lifetime registration so lost pets will have a much higher chance of being returned to you when lost. Please pay special attention to the information you list when registering your animal for spay/neuter as this is the same information that is used when we register the chip. Therefore, the information needs to be the ACTUAL OWNER and their BEST CONTACT INFORMATION including a valid e-mail address. Your chip registration will be forwarded to you using that email address. If your pet has already been micro-chipped, please note that in the additional comments section during registration.
