Intro to Quilting I: Saturday Afternoon - July 16th to August 20th - 1:05pm

12 hours @ $260.00

Entry level quilting class with emphasis on machine operation, rotary cutting strips and squares and practicing 1/4" seams. A small pieced pillow is the first project with a kit fee of $5 payable to the instructor. Students will then make a small whole quilt using charm packs (prepackaged 5" squares). Supply list received first day of class. Some homework may be necessary if you are unable to keep up in class.

Half - Square Triangle Quilt - Tuesday Afternoon - July 12th to July 16th - 4:25pm

This quilt Block is one of the most versatile blocks in quilting. There are many design possibilities with options for a new quilt design each time. You will bring to class 2 to 4 charm packs depending on the size quilt you want to make. You will only make the quilt top and leave with instructions on how to complete. There's a video on my Instagram showing a sample of quilt blocks. Must have taken Intro to Quilting I. Supply sent after registration.

Entry level class for those completely new to sewing. Emphasis on machine operation and pattern reading. Projects made in class: Lined Tote bag and PJ Bottoms. $8 kit fee for tote bag. Student will purchase sewing pattern and fabric for pj bottoms based on their hip measurement provided by instructor on first day of class. Reach out with any questions.

Continue the journey with machine operation and pattern reading while making a skirt with a zipper. Simple paper pattern alterations in width and length are introduced as well as options for seam finishes. Supply list with skirt options provided after registration. Prerequisite: Intro l.

Open Studio: Garments - Tuesday Afternoon - July 12th to August 16th - 4:25pm

12 hours @ $260.00

Open Studio is for students that have taken Intro to Sewing I, II and III or its equivalency. Students can work independently with instructor's help. Sewing with Knits, sewing with Plaids, Hem and Waist alterations, Upcycling are some options for this class. Student must bring a sewing pattern or some type of written instructions along with required materials if using a pattern. You can work on one big project or several small projects. Consult with Instructor for ideas if needed before registering.
