IMPORTANT: Candidates are asked to read and follow ALL instructions noted below AND on the website (www.oppat.ca).
CHANGE / RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT: If you have registered for a test date and time and would like to change the date or time, please use the "cancel / change your appointment" button on your confirmation receipt that was emailed to you at the time of registration. DO NOT USE THE CANCELLATION option. There is no fee to change appointments that have already been booked. Rescheduling appointment times is subject to availability.
CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT: If you need to cancel your appointment (i.e., you won't be coming for testing), please use the "cancel / change your appointment" button on your confirmation receipt that was emailed to you at the time of registration. If you cancel your appointment 72 hours prior to the start of the scheduled testing date and time, your registration fee will be fully refunded and no cancellation fee will be applied. If you cancel your appointment with less than 72 hours from the date and time of your appointment, or you do not show up for your testing appointment, your registration fee will not be refunded in part or in whole.
Candidates are asked to refrain from:
1) participating in a physical
demands test with another provider at least 48 hours prior to their
2) engaging in strenuous activity at least 12 hours
prior to their OPPAT appointment;
3) riding-out or working on the road
with a paramedic service organization at least 12 hours prior to their
OPPAT appointment; and,
4) consuming caffeine (including coffee, tea,
energy drinks) at least 8 hours prior to their OPPAT appointment.
Candidates who have a pre-existing medical condition or who experience 'white coat syndrome' are strongly encouraged to bring medical authorization from their healthcare provider.
Candidates will receive their test results via email approximately 24-72 hours after the completion of their test. Results will NOT be given at the time of testing.
OPPAT reserves the right to cancel and/or re-schedule appointments as needed. Candidates will be informed at least 24 hours prior to their appointment should we need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Please note: Candidates testing at WLU / Waterloo location are asked to park on the street or in the visitor spaces (parking meters) located in the lot at 202 Regina Street (parking lot entrance is on Lodge Street). Parking in the lot at 230 Regina is no longer available.
