Learn how to read a chart and use it to plan a trip; use a compass to determine where you are and how to get where you're going; understand tides and tidal currents; understand a weather forecast and how it might affect your trips.

This is a day-long class with a break for lunch. Tide tables and various charts will be provided. Students should bring their own handheld compass, a small number will be available for shared use.
