Your counsellor is an MSW RSW. Your participation in counselling is voluntary. You can end counselling at any time. Counselling is confidential, please read the conditions of confidentiality below.
Legal exceptions to confidentiality:
a) If the counsellor has grounds to suspect that a child under 16 years old is at risk for abuse or neglect.
b) If the counsellor believes there is imminent risk of serious bodily harm or death to you, another individual or group of persons.
c) If your records are subpoenaed by a court of law or a search warrant is presented.
d) If you disclose that you were sexually abused by a regulated health professional or a member of the OCSWSSW your counsellor must report that professional.
NB: Though the platforms we use are encrypted, we cannot guarantee what happens at the user end. Therefore, confidentiality cannot be 100% guaranteed in computer mediated communications.
Cancellation Policy:
Your counsellor has reserved 50 minutes or more for you and you alone. You agree to pay the fee if you miss or cancel your session without providing 48 hours notice.
Payment Policy:
There is a fee for service at Beck Counselling & Associates. You may choose to claim this back through your private insurance.
