Whether you have a lifetime experience with horses, or whether you are completely new to them, we invite you to explore the foundational pieces of our horsemanship - based on consent, autonomy, science and kindness - in this entry program!

This is a 4-hour program, spread in 2 chunks of 2hrs each. It is accompanied by an Orientation Video Series, which you are going to be directed to upon enrolling, in your confirmation email (remember to look for it!).

Audit some of Hatha Equus' select classes! Three of these sneak peeks are a prerequisite for horse owners to haul in and attend a Hatha Equus Playground with their horse!

These half-day clinics aim at supporting humans in becoming informed and kind horse owners, capable of supporting their horses in becoming the best version of themselves, and of finding their unique path to happiness...together!

Each time we will:
- check in and set intentions for the day
- watch a short live demo with Giorgia
- invite our horses of the day in and do mutual grooming
- practice the day's curriculum with them
- lead them back, clean up and reflect on the day's learning

Do you dream of choreographing music routines with your horse and having fun at the next talent show? Do you want to wow your friends with your horse panther walking to the mounting block to pick you up? This playground is an exploration platform for any trick from “smile”, to “pick up hat” to “circle around me” and “rear” (and much more!), and most importantly, connection and clarity in whatever you do with your horse at liberty! We can’t wait to have fun with you!

This is a great opportunity to explore your relationship with your horse in an unfamiliar environment! Students and horses will get experience and exposure to trailering, exploring obstacles in nature and navigating group rides.
*This is available for Intermediate/Advanced riders only. Horses for borrow may be available but must be coordinated with Hatha Equus in advance.

For advanced teen students who own or lease a horse!

Tuesday- Clinic/Show Prep Day! A focus on the skills that will prepare teens for any upcoming events/competitions/shows- includes jumping courses, dressage tests, tricks, and more!

Friday- Foundations!- On this day we will focus on...drumroll...FOUNDATIONS! ie...dressage, groundwork and/or filling any "holes" in their horsemanship skills.

The amazing farrier Philip Himanka will be doing a deep dive into everything hooves (anatomy, how they work, and a demo) in this full day clinic on Saturday, February 25th.

We highly recommend this class for horse owners, leasers, students, and anyone else who wants to know more about such an important aspect of horse anatomy, health and care. 

Born out of the dream of doing dressage where the horse is light, balanced, free and a true partner in the dance, Bridleless Dressage brings together ALL of the elements of Hatha Equus in this 3 hour clinic.

In the first part Elizabeth will give an instructive demonstration with her horses. Following that, four participants will have an opportunity to focus on one or several of the elements that build dressage without a bridle.

One and a half day intensive! We are going to dig deep into consent protocols with activities that our horses struggle with. Also, we will explore what modern science says about movement, "being in shape" and motor skills acquisition both at a theoretical and practical level.
If you are hoping to gain skills to make your horse gladly cooperative in activities such as riding or tacking up, and if you'd like for them to be eager movers, no matter the starting point, this might be a clinic for you
