This workshop provides an overview of CatCourses features and functions and covers basic navigation and how to create Assignments, Announcements and Quizzes.
Using CatCourses to Organize Course Content
This workshop walks through how to organize your course for ASYNCHRONOUS delivery of course content using Modules in CatCourses. Providing visual organization and a welcome module for students is a research-based, best practice. Logical visual organization by week or module helps students easily understand and access weekly assignments, quizzes, videos etc. This lowers stress and cognitive load for your class participants.
Using CatCourses Gradebook & Analytics to Keep Students on Track

Zoom for Instruction
This workshop covers getting set up, and using Zoom for SYNCHRONOUS class or discussion sessions, office hours and 1-1 meetings with students or colleagues. We will discuss scheduling meetings, using breakout rooms, annotating on slides and recording sessions and uploading recorded videos into CatCourses .
Zoom Security Workshop
Protect yourself and your Zoom participants from Zoom bombing, when hackers interrupt your Zoom meeting and take over control in order to share inappropriate, often vulgar or racist content. These bi-weekly workshops cover specific Zoom settings that should be used for the Host to keep control of functions like waiting room, user authentication, share screen and how to report Zoom bombing if it happens to you.
