Introduction to CatCourses
This online workshop is for faculty and TA's. In the workshop, we will provide an overview of CatCourses features and functions and covers basic navigation, how to create Assignments, Announcements and Quizzes.
Using CatCourses to Organize Course Content
This workshop walks through how to organize your course for ASYNCHRONOUS delivery of course content using Modules in CatCourses. Providing visual organization and a welcome module for students is a research-based, best practice. Logical visual organization by week or module helps students easily understand and access weekly assignments, quizzes, videos etc. This lowers stress and cognitive load for your class participants.
Using CatCourses Gradebook & Analytics to Keep Students on Track
This workshop walks through how to use the Gradebook and New Analytics in CatCourses and what to do when you think a student may be falling behind in your course.
Connecting CatCourses tools to Improve Exam Integrity
This workshop walks through how to use CatCourses Quiz options and other tools to deter cheating and improve exam integrity
Zoom for Instruction
This workshop covers getting set up, and using Zoom for SYNCHRONOUS class or discussion sessions, office hours and 1-1 meetings with students or colleagues. We will discuss scheduling meetings, using breakout rooms, annotating on slides and recording sessions and uploading recorded videos into CatCourses .
Zoom Security Workshop
Protect yourself and your Zoom participants from Zoom bombing, when hackers interrupt your Zoom meeting and take over control in order to share inappropriate, often vulgar or racist content. These bi-weekly workshops cover specific Zoom settings that should be used for the Host to keep control of functions like waiting room, user authentication, share screen and how to report Zoom bombing if it happens to you.

Creating and Editing Instructional Videos
For ASYNCHRONOUS course content, you may be interested in creating instructional videos to post in CatCourses. This online workshop covers the pedagogical considerations and the basics of recording and uploading your videos.
Instructional Recording Session on Campus
AET has multiple locations on campus equipped with video equipment and resources to help facilitate video recording. This service is for faculty to reserve time with a video producer to record instructional videos on campus.
Instructional Video Recording Request
In order to request a classroom or conference room on campus for synchronous course delivery or Zoom recording, a brief meeting with AET is required. Use this link to complete a short form and schedule a time to meet with AET. This brief meeting is required at least 3 days before you plan to us the space on campus.
