In line with the recent changes in the Passenger Vehicle Inspections contract and COVID restrictions, Rightway has extended the online booking system for ALL passenger transport vehicle inspections.
Effective immediately all vehicle inspections including fleet taxis and chauffeured hire car (including limousines) vehicles must be booked and paid online.
Set booking times will not be available unless you book them online.
Phone bookings will not be accepted.
If you wish to continue recurring current booking times – you must now book online for them to be available from 1st February onwards.
The system allows for multiple bookings over a 12-month period if that is what you currently do.
VEHICLES PRESENTED FOR INSPECTION MUST BE IN A CONDITION READY FOR USE AS A PASSENGER TRANSPORT VEHICLE

Authorised Vehicle Inspection address - 45 South Rd HINDMARSH SA 5007
Vehicle inspections can take up to 45mins
All drivers/operators MUST be present 10 mins before your inspection time.
Please note there will be no refunds for no shows or late arrivals.
Late arrivals will not be accepted.
If you are late to your appointment it must be rescheduled for another suitable time, so as not to inconvenience other drivers/operators on the day.
If you are unable to attend your inspection, please cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Rescheduling appointments will need to be done within 24 hours of confirmed appointment.

VALID SOUTH AUSTRALIAN DRIVERS LICENCE for OWNER OF VEHICLE
CURRENT VEHICLE REGISTRATION FORM (BLUE FORM OR PRINTED COPY FROM EZYREG)
Vehicle inspections are $95 ($85 inc gst + $7 SA GOV booking fee + $3 process fee) payable on making booking.
Vehicles presented for re-inspection will be charged a fee of $37.
New label fee $22. (must return with current registration and valid pink slip)
Bookings are not required for re-inspections or new labels.
To pass inspection
- RideshareVehicle must not be more than 8yrs old, from the date of manufacturer (2015 or newer)
- NEW VEHICLES MAY BE EXEMPT FROM FIRST INSPECTION. PLEASE CONTACT ACCREDITATION AND LICENCING CENTRE TO CONFIRM ELIGABILITY BEFORE BOOKING AN INSPECTION.
- The outside of your car including the wheels must be clean
- The inside of your car must be clean and free of rubbish, food and any loose items
- Remove any baby/child seats
- Your boot/trunk space must be free to check the spare wheel
- Ensure all tyres are in very good condition
- Check all light globes are working (indicators, headlights)
- Ensure your vehicle has no body damage, including dents and scratches
- window tint must comply with DPTI standards (front windows 35%, back windows 20%)
Operators/Drivers requiring Re-Inspection or Labels/Stickers & Pink Slips
These will only be attended to as soon as possible not by appointment:
- 8:30am - 12:30pm
- 1:30pm - 4:30pm
- Mon - Fri only
Fee for copy of original vehicle inspection report $15.
*only available if the original vehicle inspection was carried out at Rightway Automotive Services.
All vehicles must display the Vehicle Inspection Label at all times, these labels are not to be removed at any time. If your label becomes damaged you must return to any accredited inspection station for a replacement.

We request that everyone who visits Rightway Automotive Services practices good hygiene by regularly washing hands thoroughly with soap and covering coughs and sneezes with the elbow. Additionally, if you do feel unwell we ask that you stay home and seek medical attention as needed.
