Welcome to my scheduler! I am a registered psychologist in Alberta, Ontario, and throughout the territories. You will be asked to pick your time zone when you book your appointment.
IMPORTANT NOTE. If you prefer a live appointment, please contact me via email at alderson@ucalgary.ca. I will be out of the country between January 1 and March 31, 2024, so I want to ensure we have continuity. That is why you can only book a video session through the scheduler currently.
PAST, RECENT, OR CURRENT CLIENTS
Please email me at alderson@ucalgary.ca if you cannot find a time in my schedule that works for you. Most appointments are unadvertised, ensuring I can readily accommodate past and ongoing clients. Like seeing your family physician, past, recent, and current clients are my first and highest priority.
NEW CLIENTS
The scheduler is set up for new clients and tells you when I am available. Please only book one appointment. Once you are my client, I will book the appointments to ensure continuity. I do not keep a waitlist, so that it might be a few weeks or months until your first appointment. I will let you know if an earlier appointment time arises and reschedule you sooner.
Please note that 50% of the session fee is made when you book your first session through the scheduler. Subsequent appointments are billed automatically 24 hours in advance. You can change the appointment time yourself or cancel it if you do so 24 hours or more before the time of the scheduled session. A receipt for your session is provided on the day of your appointment.
Once you book your first session, I will email you my innovative history questionnaire and ask that you return it completed before our first session (it takes less than an hour to finish). By doing so, I am ready to begin helping you as soon as our session begins. Be aware that most therapists spend the first hour collecting your background information. I cut to the chase and save both of us this time and you this money. I will also share a simple method to get you focused and ready for your upcoming session. My co-authored book, Choosing the Right Counselor for You, includes these ideas. I am an expert, and experts get the job done faster.
