Students must be at least 19 years old. This placement appointment is for people who want to enter Adult Basic Education classes. This appointment is for people AGE 19 AND OLDER who want to learn English to read, write, speak, and listen to English.

This placement appointment is for people who did not score high enough on the Accuplacer placement test to enter credit coursework at HCC. These students have been recommended to successfully complete reading and math boot camps in order to enter college courses. This appointment is for people AGE 19 AND OLDER who want to enter the National External Diploma Program with the Program of Adult Basic Education at HCC. NEDP is a self-paced program that is measured through projects and activities that are completed on a computer. Students must be self-motivated and learn independently, as there is no instructional component. Student work is reviewed through one-to-one appointments with trained assessment staff. NOTE: There is a minimum CASAS score needed to qualify.
