Micropigmentation Pre-Procedure Information & Care
ALL PERMANENT COSMETIC PROCEDURES ARE A MULTI-SESSION PROCESSES. An initial application is incomplete until after a perfection appointment, which must be scheduled approximately 4-8 weeks after your initial appointment. There is no additional charge for the perfection appointment after your initial application as long as it is performed within three months of the initial application. We suggest scheduling your perfection appointment now or on the day of your procedure to avoid disappointment. Healed results will vary with each individual client. NO guarantees will be made. Additional sessions (at an additional charge) may be required to obtain optimal desired results. Although we give our best efforts to provide you with quality service, many factors can result in a less than desired outcome as each client will heal differently. In order for your new brows, eyeliner or smoky lash enhancement to heal properly (and look their very best) following all pre and post care instructions are crucial! Pre-Care Instructions are designed to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the service. Excessive bleeding during the procedure can dilute and expel the pigment color and lead to poor results.
Do NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or ADVIL/Ibuprofen unless medically necessary, 48-72 hrs prior to your procedure. Tylenol is fine.
WHILE YOUR SKIN HEALS, BE PREPARED FOR THE COLOR INTENSITY OF YOUR PROCEDURE TO BE SIGNIFICANTLY LARGER, SHARPER, BRIGHTER, OR DARKER than what is expected for the final outcome. This is a normal and expected result of the application and healing process. The healing process will take a number of days to complete, depending on how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates and new skin regrows to take its place.
Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly or redden, some clients feel it best not to make social plans for a day or two following any procedure. Wear your normal makeup and if you are having a brow procedure, please bring your brow pencils with you the day of the procedure.
Please remember that every effort is made to keep our clients as comfortable as possible, using a combination of topical medical grade anesthetics, however this is a TATTOO and some level or degree of pain is to be expected. There are many individual biological factors that may effect the clients level of pain control, and are completely out of the artist control. The rate of absorption and the body’s metabolism of the medication varies from person to person, as does one’s pain threshold and perception to pain. 99% of the time our clients experience little to ZERO pain during their procedure, however on occasion some may report some degree of pain.
Avoid tweezing, waxing, electrolysis, and coloring your brows for two weeks prior to the procedure if possible. This will allow your practitioner the most flexibility to achieve optimal results.
Avoid excessive sun exposure for a minimum of one week prior to and following your procedure.
Eyeliner/Smoky Lash Enhancement:
Do not use growth stimulants such as Latisse®, RapidLash®, or RevitaLash® for at least one month prior to and ten days following your final touchup for your eyeliner procedure.
DO NOT WEAR CONTACT LENSES DURING OR IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE PROCEDURE. Remember to bring your glasses. You may resume wearing your contact lenses as soon as your eyes return to their pretreated condition.
If you have a cold sore or are prone to cold sores, you will need to be taking cold sore medication prescribed by your doctor 7 days prior to the procedure and 7 days after. The procedure can trigger the cold sore virus and you may experience a break-out on your lips after the procedure. By taking the medication, you minimize your chances of a cold sore breaking out. There are various medications for this treatment, Valtrax is most commonly prescribed.
Lash Lift and Tint:
Contact lenses need to be removed prior to your appointment. Most clients do not experience any issues putting contacts back in immediately following their lift and tint however if you have sensitive eyes it would be beneficial to bring glasses to your appointment.
CREDIT CARD ON FILE:
A CREDIT CARD is required on file immediately upon booking to secure all appointments. You will not be charged until the day of your appointment and you may use an alternate method of payment if you choose at the time of your appointment.
*Note: For cancellations and rescheduling we require a minimum of one week prior to all permanent makeup procedures.
