Plus, attendees can enjoy the company of the incredible animals in our care while also learning about our history as Chicago's oldest, most comprehensive humane society.

The Anti-Cruelty Society welcomes teens ages 13 - 17 to our beginner volunteer program, Shelter Service Day! This unique opportunity occurs weekly, and gives young volunteers a chance to support our animals and staff by completing projects and making animal enrichment items.

Are you an individual interested in helping ACS shelter pets in need? Please join our Busy Fingers event, no crafting skills needed!

We meet inside our River North Auditorium one Monday per month from 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm.

We provide the supplies, you craft for a great cause!

As a reminder, any interested groups must schedule a separate, private Crafting Crew event by contacting engage@anticruelty.org.

The Anti-Cruelty Society's virtual Working Through Pet Loss support group meets monthly on the first Tuesday and the following week's Wednesday, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm CST. The group is led by licensed professional grief counselor, Yvette Camacho. Once you complete your reservation, you will receive an email from Acuity Scheduling with the Zoom login link to join the video meeting.

Your next step in our foster process is to schedule your virtual Foster Orientation. At the Foster Orientation you'll learn more about the foster selection, pick-up and drop-off process while learning key care tips regarding health and behavior.
