Things will run a little differently, so please read the policy changes thoroughly. For the safety of our customers and employees, we will turn people away if they are not following the guidelines as detailed below. Thank you for your patience & cooperation!
FULL-SERVICE GROOMING POLICIES
I warrant that my dog is current with the vaccinations required by law, and that my dog is healthy to the best of my knowledge. If pet is hurt or becomes ill, The Soggy Dog LLC. has permission to call or take pet to veterinarian of our choice if pet's vet is inaccessible; or administers medication; or gives other advisable attention, with our discretion and judgment, and such expenses will be paid promptly by owner unless injury is direct result of negligence of The Soggy Dog LLC. We will not be held responsible for any sickness or injury caused by the pet to itself during grooming. Maine Soggy Dog LLC. is not responsible for any accidental death of pet of the nature of pre-existing health condition or natural disasters (fire, storm, flood, etc.).
The Soggy Dog LLC. will not be held responsible for clipper burn and or nicks resulting from the grooming of matted, neglected coats, irritation caused by removing coat from pets possessing mild to severe skin allergy, skin tags or any other skin abnormalities. We will not be held responsible for stressful effects grooming may have upon an elderly pet. We will also not be held responsible for any injuries after you dog has left our shop. This means if your dog has any irritation from the grooming described above from scratching or licking or shaking of the head from ear plucking, we will not be held responsible.
Grooming prices reflect estimates and are subject to change based on coat condition, temperament, time, and other unforeseen situations that arise, additional fees will apply. We also reserve the right to refuse service to customers whose pet may pose a threat to us or to the other pets left in our care, whether it be an aggression problem, health problem, or parasite problems.

IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE YOUR GROOMING APPOINTMENT, PLEASE SEND US AN EMAIL TO MAINESOGGYDOG@GMAIL.COM. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY VOICEMAIL REGARDING THESE CHANGES AS WE WILL NOT HONOR YOUR REQUEST AND YOU WILL LOSE YOUR GROOMING DEPOSIT. IF YOU DON'T GIVE US 24 HOURS NOTICE OF A CANCELATION OR RESCHEDUEL YOU WILL LOSE YOUR $75 DEPOSIT AND YOU WILL BE ASKED TO PAY THE BALANCE OF THAT MISSED GROOMING BFORE YOU WILL LBE ABLE TO MAKE ANOTHER GROOMING APPOINTMENT.
RUNNING LATE FOR YOUR APT.
If we don't hear from you within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment time, we will consider you a No-Show, and your deposit WILL NOT BE refunded.
If we are running ahead of schedule do to small dogs
or a no-show, we might call you to see if you can come in sooner. Please do not
feel obligated to do so, but if you can we really appreciate it.
LATE PICK-UP FEE
MSD would like you and your dog to have a One on One grooming experience with our groomers. As we are not set up to hold dogs past their 2-hour scheduled grooming appointment so we ask that you be as prompted as possible dropping off and when picking up your pooch. If you are more than 15 minutes for either drop off or pickup you will be charged an additional $25 late fee for every 15 minutes you are late.
No-Shows
Our policy is that clients who do not show up for their grooming will lose their $75 deposit and will not be able to reschedule another grooming appointment until the balance of the grooming that you did not show up for is paid in full. If a guest misses 2 appointments they will be asked to pay for their groomings in advance. Unfortunately, we regret having to implement this policy but due to the amount No-Shows we have been experiencing we feel it’s necessary.
I agree that I have read and understand the rules and conditions for The Soggy Dog LLC. Grooming. I understand that my dog, my guests, or I may be videotaped or photographed and that these images become the property of The Soggy Dog LLC. I agree to release, hold harmless, acquit, will indemnify and forever discharge the corporation from all, and in all manner of action and actions, suits, damages, judgments, executions, claims, and demands whatsoever, in law or in equity, which I or any other person I have with me during grooming at Maine Soggy Dog.
MAINE SOGGY DOG SNOWSTORM POLICIES
As we head back into another Maine winter, please be aware of our winter weather policy. If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, please email us ASAP at mainesoggydog@gmail.com and we will reschedule you in the next available opening. Please keep in mind we are booking 6-8 weeks out so please try to make your scheduled appointment. Your deposit will transfer to your new appointment day and time if school is closed in your town, or if the shop must cancel your appointment. Deposits are non-refundable for no-shows or if you opt to reschedule without school closures in the town you live in.
