The classic technique consists of applying one lash extension to one natural lash.
Mink & Silk are just names used to describe synthetic lashes made of PBT.
Mink lashes tend to appear more matte and are cut much thinner than silk lashes at the tip. This provides for a more 'natural', light look.
Classic Sets are a great place to start as a first-time client.
Looking for something more dense and glam? Consider trying Hybrid or Volume.

The Hybrid technique is simply a combination of the Classic technique (one lash extension to one natural lash) and the Russian Volume technique (2 to 5 lightweight lash extensions to one natural lash).

This particular technique usually results in a "wispy", fuller look compared to classic.

This is also a great option for clients with thinner lashes as it will fill in the "gaps" and create a nice full look.

Volume lashing is a technique in which 2 to 5 very lightweight lash extensions are applied to one natural lash.
The extensions used for volume are very thin and therefore will not weigh the natural lash down.
This creates a darker, more dramatic look and is great for clients with sparse and/or "gappy" lashes and those looking for more fullness.

Mega Volume is not for the faint of heart!!!
The difference between mega volume and traditional volume is how many lash extensions are being used to create the fan and the diameter of the extensions in the fan.
A set of traditional volume lashes uses 0.05 - .07 extensions to create a fan with up to 5 lash extensions. Mega volume sets use .05 and .03 lash extensions to create a fan with upwards of 10 extensions. With mega volume, you can apply countless extensions on one natural lash. That is MEGA for sur
