Asbestos Inspector Refresher (4 Hours)
A 4-hour refresher is required to maintain the MIOSHA asbestos inspector license. The course fulfills all EPA and MIOSHA requirements to renew the inspector license.
Asbestos Contractor Supervisor Refresher (8 Hours)
An 8-hour refresher is required to maintain the MIOSHA contractor /supervisor license. The course fulfills all of the EPA and MIOSHA requirements to renew the contractor/supervisor license.
Asbestos Inspector Initial (3-Day Class/ 24 Hours)
The course is required for anyone performing an asbestos building inspection to comply with EPA, OSHA or MIOSHA regulations. This 3-day course includes an off-site building inspection on the final day. Topics covered include sampling strategies, data recording, blueprint reading, CAD usage, laboratory analytical, and types of inspections to fulfill regulatory compliance.
Asbestos Contractor Supervisor Initial (5-Day Class/40 Hours)
This is a course for asbestos abatement contractors and supervisors to allow removal of regulated quantities of friable asbestos containing materials. Each abatement project must have a 40-hour contractor/supervisor responsible for overall removal activities on the job site. The course is five days and fulfills all of the EPA and MIOSHA requirements to apply for a state license.
HAZWOPER Refresher (8 Hours)
The 8-hour refresher is required to maintain certification for both 40-hour HAZWOPER and 24-hour HAZMAT. The course covers new information or changes in regulations and reviews personal protective equipment. Using DOT and NIOSH documents, donning SCBA’s, and writing site plans are also covered.
HAZWOPER Initial 40-Hour Training (4-Day Class/40 Hours)
Employees participating in clean-up activities of uncontrolled hazardous materials are required have this training. Covers regulatory standards, health effects of hazardous materials, identification of unknown materials, personal protective equipment, control methods used in clean-up operations, victim rescue, written site plans and emergency actions. The training has extensive hands-on components including a full spill scenario at the conclusion of the course.
