Participants in this workshop learn ten breathing techniques that can be utilized for self-regulation when they are faced with challenges that may seem overwhelming. As each breath is introduced, it is described as a "calming" breath or an "energizing" breath. Calming breaths may be used as a tool when a child is feeling anxious, angry, frustrated, and overwhelmed. Energizing breaths may be used when a child is feeling sluggish or tired and they want to increase their energy level.
