For plans with Florida Blue PPO, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Humana, or Cigna, your consultation *may* be covered. After scheduling your appointment, you will receive instructions via your confirmation email to verify your insurance plan through the Lactation Network for approval. This must be completed at least one business day prior to the consultation. Verifications on Sunday are not guaranteed and may be delayed until the next business day. If coverage is approved, your office or video visits are covered at 100%. We are in-network with Aetna and United and will directly bill those plans. For United HMO policies, you must get a referral for lactation from your PCP or OB/Gyn. This must be entered in the UHC portal **prior** to your consultation. ----------------------------------------------
Please note: We do not accept Aetna MEDICAID policies. ALL MEDICAID policies require payment in full at time of services.
**All Home visits are reserved for medically fragile babies only. Those that are outside of the 10 mile radius from our office will incur a $35 travel fee. Please call to schedule. **
If you don't see a day/time you need, or you are looking to schedule a therapeutic ultrasound or Crematocrit Milk Analysis appointment, please call or text 813-892-8990. We often have cancellations-so check back often!
All appointments are subject to confirmation by our lactation team. We will call you if we need to re-schedule. If health intake paperwork or insurance verification is not completed within 24 hours of your appointment, your appointment is subject to cancellation.
Please call or email with 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. A $30 fee will be imposed if appointments are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or for a "no show".
Tampa Breastfeeding Center is a Mentorship facility for IBCLC candidates. Your appointment may be attended by student for observation or hands-on purposes.
