Process
First time badging or if expired 30 days or more:
STEP 1: ENROLLMENT & BACKGROUND CHECK INITIATION APPOINTMENT
-Applicant's information and documentation will be verified, and background check initiated. All required documentation must be present. Please note you will have 30 days to return after your step one appointment to complete step two or the background check will be voided and the process will need to be restarted.
STEP 2: TRAINING & BADGING APPOINTMENT (upon completion of background check typically ~3-5 days for US citizens, up to 2 weeks for non-citizens)
-Training takes 1-3 hours depending on badge type and access requirements. Applicant will be issued their badge upon completion of training.
Renewal:
STEP 2: TRAINING & BADGING APPOINTMENT
-Applicant's information and documentation will be re-verified and updated, (previous scans are not valid). Upon completion of training, applicant will be issued their badge. Applicants may attempt to test out of required renewal training.
-Please note that new pictures are taken yearly.
*Proper documentation is required prior to training or reciving a new badge.
**Any badge expired more than 30 days from the date printed on the front of the badge will not be able to be renewed without first completing the step 1 process of reapplying for a background and waiting for the background to clear.
Required Documentation
1. Passport or Drivers License & Certified Birth Certificate/Social Security Card
(or other documents in accordance with Form I-9 Page 3) // original or certified (no photo copies)
2. Current GPIA issued badge (renewals)
3. Check or Credit Card (non-invoiced customers)
4. CHRC Letter (airline employees - CHRCs are valid for 2 years)
5. Insurance card for the vehicle you plan to drive on the Airfield (GA Tenant Badges Only)
Failure to bring needed documentation will result in GPIA being unable to issue a badge and require rescheduling of appointment. Documents are required to be verified yearly, prior scans can not be used.
