Intermediate Slings with Coty, Tuesdays 7:30pm, January-February
Students will be guided through aerial sling skills such as mounts, dismounts, wraps and drops. Students will also use the sling for strengthening and flexibility exercises. The skills learned will be built upon in higher level slings classes.
Prerequisites: able to straddle and pull over onto the apparatus with no assistance, leg lock sequence on both sides, ten-second bent arm hang. 8 classes, 1.5 hours each.
Rope for Dopes with April, Mondays 7:30pm, January-February
Rope can be intimidating. April did trapeze for years and thought she would never be able to do rope. A kind circus artist took her under their wing, and showed her that if you can hang on and invert, you can rope. In this class, April will teach fun and accessible rope material along with conditioning and basic technique to build your rope foundation
Prereqs: inversion from floor or air on any apparatus, any climb, ten second bent arm hang. 8 classes, 1.5 hours each.
Hoop: Transition and Flow with Claire, Thursdays 7:30, January-February
This class will focus on new ways to move with ease below, inside and on top of hoop. Emphasis will be placed on finding fluid transitions within and between these zones to help you create a movement language of your own. Concepts of Time, Space, and Energy will be introduced to vary the tempo and style of your flow practice.
Prerequisites: ability to do a pull over, invert under and inside of hoop. 8 classes, 1.5 hours each.
Intermediate Trapeze with Sandra, Mondays 7:30pm, January-February
We will work on improving strength, balance, and refining beginner tricks. These foundations will be combined with intermediate skills to create polished sequences unique to the class. We will focus on cleaning up tricks for economy of movement and strong, fluid transitions.

Intermediate Silks with Sandra, Mondays 6:00pm, January-February
This class is for students who have mastered classic and Russian climbs, double footlocks, and can comfortably invert from a climb. Material in this class will focus on learning and refining single rotation drops, intricate wraps, climbs, and transitions with focus on strength building and gaining stamina for longer sequences.
Must be able to do on both sides: tuck and straddle inversions from a climb, clean hip key in the air, 2 climbs to the top without stopping,
8 classes, 1.5 hours each.
Exploring on Dance Trapeze with Lisa, Thursdays 7:30pm, January-February
This class is for you if you are comfortable in the air and are interested in playing with tricks you know and finding different paths in and out of the familiar. We will explore movement from balance, shapes and tricks on the apparatus with a focus on building your own vocabulary and sequences. We will also delve into the use of the floor.
Prerequisites: Ability to invert on your own repeatedly, ability to hold yourself in any position in the ropes for twenty seconds. 8 classes, 1.5 hours each.
