Welcome to the 2023 tax filing season for tax year 2022! Scheduling for in-person tax preparation appointments will open every other Monday until full from January 17th, 2023 - March 27th, 2023. Do-It-Yourself Tax Prep training sign-up is available now. Please review the description to ensure you schedule the correct type of appointment.
Prior to scheduling an appointment please be sure you have all your tax documents ready.
Tax Appointments: Our tax appointments are in-person, we will not have drop-off or virtual availability. If you had more than $6,000 of self-employment income, operated a daycare, had business use of the home, please see the information below.
Self-Employment Appointments: Our self-employment appointments are Monday afternoons and Wednesday evenings at our main office. Our self-employment volunteers can handle business use of home, daycares, and household incomes of up to $55,000. New self-employment customers need to call 651-262-2169 to schedule an appointment. Returning customers can schedule online. Please check the self-employment section of our website to see if you qualify.
Do-It-Yourself: Filing on your own can be intimidating, but Prepare + Prosper will help you get ready. This free service is limited to people with incomes of $73,000 or less. Scroll down to sign-up for one of our weekly trainings. Please visit our DIY page on our main website for more information.

If you do not see any availability, please check back. Appointments fill up very quickly. Please check the P+P website for the next date we will be opening another round of appointments for scheduling. New time slots will be added every two weeks.
- Make sure to read the confirmation email in full. It
will contain a link to complete the intake paperwork that needs to be done
before your appointment. If you are unable to complete the online version,
please arrive 10-15 minutes early to your appointment to complete.
- The list of documents to bring will be included in the confirmation email. All individuals filing must bring a photo ID and Social Security card or ITIN letter. If you are filing a joint return, both spouses need to be present. (A copy of a prior year tax return with all names and numbers listed can be used in place of the cards.) Please read the email to see what other documents may be needed.
- The appointment can take up to 2-3 hours. We will go over the intake paperwork, then prepare and review your tax return. At
the end of your appointment, we will go over final results and verify information before you sign and take home a copy of your
taxes. Your return will be electronically filed after we collect your signature.
- Masks are encouraged while at our site. We can provide one if you do not have one. Please limit the number of people that come with you, if possible, observe social distancing, and please do not come to your appointment if you are feeling ill or have been exposed to COVID-19.
