You are ready to put yourself first and tend to your own emotional health so you can better tend to those you love.
If this is you, then you are certainly not alone and I invite you to share your story with me.
Hi, I’m Ailsa
I listen to your stories as you explore how to be happier within yourself, and in your relationships.
People come to me because they’ve noticed they are stuck in areas of their life:
- In their self confidence
- In their relationships
- In their loss and grief
- In emotional stress
and they would like to feel happier and more empowered by making positive change in their life.
I work with adults 18 years or older who are ready to try therapy with me.
I work with people who are managing stressful moments in their life whilst their inner critic critiques how well they’re doing, or NOT doing.
They share their stories with me whilst we walk alongside each other, outside in nature.
They learn more about what triggers them, and how to respond rather than react.
They also begin to accept that they are not the problem – rather, the problem is the problem.
We unpack how they would like their life to be and they begin making small, and helpful steps toward it.
I am honoured to be my clients professional ‘person’. To witness their challenges and their wins.
I am a compassionate listener, with a warm sense of humour who enjoys making people feel comfortable and heard.
I am forever hopeful for my clients and I am an optimistic ally.
I also have the honour of working with a large number of fellow health professionals and specialists who are choosing to explore their own stories and emotional needs.
I can offer you:
- A free 20 minute initial Phone Chat.
- Walk and Talk sessions (with the back up of a consulting room if you'd prefer to be indoors).
- Zoom Video Therapy sessions.
- An Immersion Package (limited availability)
- Peer/Business Coaching

FAQ
What is Walk and Talk Therapy?
Walk and Talk Therapy is as it sounds; a confidential psychotherapy session, whilst walking outside together.
I follow your pace, both in the flow of therapy and the pace of walking. My clients find that walking naturally shifts their emotions and leaves them feeling calm and relaxed.
The Walk and Talk therapy I offer is not intended to be ‘exercise’ and your fitness level is not important, what is most important is that you feel you story is being heard.
In saying that, most of my clients love the endorphins that are released after a stroll with me in the beautiful outdoors and we always seem to find natural gifts to delight in along the way.
Do I have to Walk and Talk?
No. Traditional therapeutic sessions in my consulting room at Stirling are always available instead of going for a walk. You can choose on the day whether you'd prefer an indoor or outdoor session.
How can I book a session?
You can book a session below without a GP referral, or a mental health care plan.
Just check your diary against my availability and book in when it suits you.
My client contact hours are
Tuesday 11am - 4pm
Wednesday 8am - 4pm
Thursday 8am - 6pm
Friday 8am - 2.30pm
How often do I need to have therapy?
It's always up to the individual client how often they book therapy. We always discuss what will support them best leading into the future.
Therapy choices:
I offer individual sessions and also a small number of Immersion Packages
Each package is a four month immersion/journey, consisting of regular Walk and Talk sessions, phone calls and check ins via text or email.
Past package clients have expressed that their immersion was an incredibly empowering ‘ride’ which offered them countless opportunities to test new ways of showing up in their lives. They felt supported and encouraged all the way through and beyond their package, which lead to positive change at a significant time in their life.
Do you offer any rebates or concessions?
No, counselling and psychotherapy is not covered under mental health plans at this stage.
The current charge is $225.50 (Including GST) per individual session and each session is 1 hour long.
How do I choose the right therapist?
The most important factor in choosing a therapist is feeling that you can trust and connect with that person.
I suggest you 'shop around' and advocate for yourself until you find a therapist that aligns with your values and makes you feel heard.
I invite you to connect with me prior to booking, to check if you feel comfortable talking with me.
An initial 20 min phone chat is available without charge.
If I'm not the right therapist for you I can refer you to other mental health professionals that may be able to assist.
I'm a fellow Therapist or student, how can I make some time with you, to pick your brain about my own business prospects?
I'm often approached by peers interested in private practice with similar business interests.
I'd love to spend some time with you talking about your own business prospects whilst we walk and talk, or catch up in my office.
It's lovely to meet other therapists, or future therapists, but please note I prioritise my client work.
You can book one of the options below - a quick 20 min phone chat or an hour business coaching session.
