This year has already been unprecedentedly busy. Please plan ahead! You can schedule 30 days from when you would like to come in. If you need items for a specific event, the ideal time to some in is 3-4 weeks before the event. For example - if you have an event June 17th, you should check the schedule mid April to book an appointment for mid May so your items are ready mid June.
Our ability to work in rush jobs (needed in less than our 8 day turn around) will be very limited, as this year is expected again to have a very busy wedding season.
Our turn around is minimum 8 days from when we receive items.
If you need something faster, you must contact us before you schedule an appointment. You can email us at
trestertailor@gmail.com to confirm a rush is
possible. Booking an appointment does not mean a rush is possible.
If you are wearing a garment for a specific event, we will not start the alterations process until 3-4 weeks before the event. People's bodies have a tendency to change, so to avoid having to alter a garment twice, we will not do the first fitting more than a month out. If a fitting is done more than a month from the date, we cannot guarantee the fit. If a garment has to be re-altered due to weight fluctuation, the customer is responsible for the cost of re-altering the garment. Whereas if the fitting is done in the proper time-frame, we guarantee the fit. You can and should schedule up to 30 days from when you would like to come in. It's important not to wait until you'd like to come in to schedule, we may not have availability. But the appointment should not be more than 3-4 weeks before you need to wear the garment.
Please make sure any items that have been previously worn are laundered BEFORE you bring them in. We reserve the right to refuse service if we determine a garment has not been laundered. Also, launder any new garments with plant based fibers like cotton, linen, and rayon (viscose) to eliminate shrinkage.
Please
limit your appointment to 30 minutes maximum. This allows us to
accommodate everyone in a timely fashion. If you
schedule two appointments in a row, we will automatically consolidate
you down to one appointment. If you have many items, i.e.
several suits, several dresses, etc, we ask that you prioritize 2-3
items first, and cycle your other items in a successive appointment at least 8 days from your initital appoinement. If a single garment needs extensive alterations, that one garment may be all we can accommodate for the week.
Bring any items you plan to wear with the garment, i.e. for hems bring your shoes, for suit jackets bring a dress shirt, for dresses bring your undergarments, etc.
We
request you do not bring extra people with to your fitting, especially
small children. Our shop is small and there are hot and sharp things.
For everyone's safety we ask you limit the amount of
people you bring in the shop. If small children are accompanying you, please bring someone to supervise them during your fitting. While we understand this may not be possible in some instances, we would like to make everyone conscious of any potential accidents.
