The video Worst Lecture Ever (Masland, 2020) was deliberately produced to illustrate a wide range of ineffective practices while teaching on zoom. Some of these practices may be familiar – we might even implement a few of them ourselves on our less-than-stellar days. Whether you teach in a classroom or online, come laugh and learn with colleagues as we watch the video, identify problematic practices, analyze why they’re problematic, and discuss what to do instead.
